Volunteer: Help us distribute food at the Haleysburg Washington County Mobile Pantry

Our Mobile Pantry program provides food to our neighbors in need every day!

Food from the Dare to Care warehouse is taken out into our 13-county service area and distributed with the help of volunteers like you. The Mobile Pantry ensures families can access food regardless of where they live. Dare to Care brings food directly to an identified food desert and sets up a temporary pantry on a consistent, scheduled basis.

On the 1st Thursday of each month, our Mobile Pantry will make a stop at Haleysburg Washington County. Help is needed from 12 volunteers.

Volunteers are needed to:

set-up tables to place food on (stations will be set up with at least 6 feet of distance between each). help distribute food (clients will be appropriately distanced and one will be served at a time in each station). help consolidate large amounts of produce into smaller bags. add certain foods into boxes to make it easier for quick distribution. break down boxes and collect plastic for recycling.

On the 4th Saturday of the month, Dare to Care will operate a Mobile Pantry from our Main Distribution Center warehouse. We will set up in the back parking lot of our building and run the program as a drive-through.
