Help us unload food deliveries at St. Catherine Court 2023

Expired

Description

Dare to Care delivers food to residents at St. Catherine Court on the 3rd Tuesday - 3 times a year, May, August and November. While we will bring the food onsite, we'll need help loading and unloading the food from our trucks for residents in the facility. We will also need help distributing the food to the residents. The entire opportunity should last no longer than 2-3 hours.

When the truck arrives, the product is placed outside. Most of the residents come and get their food by lining up one by one to get all fresh and frozen items. Any dry/canned goods are taken into the building pantry and distributed later in the week.

Volunteers will help unload food on pallets from Dare to Care trucks, then place it on tables for distribution, and break down empty/unused boxes. A dolly, a flatbed cart, and 4 shopping carts are also available to help transport food. There is also the opportunity to deliver food to homebound residents in the facility.

Dare to Care's truck will arrive around 9:30am 3rd Tuesday of May, August and November. Volunteers can check-in via their phone app or email to track hours. Dare to Care team members will have on logoed clothing. Closed toe shoes are required.
