Who We Are
In 2014, Dare to Care began distributing food through the Commodities Supplemental Food Program (CSFP). This federal program provides monthly, well-balanced food packages to low-income seniors who meet certain requirements and operates our of our Senior Outreach Warehouse.
What We Do
The goal is to improve the health of people, at least 60 years of age and meeting household income guidelines, by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA commodity foods, such as grains, protein, fruits and vegetables. As of March 2021, around 4,600 food boxes must be produced each month by volunteers to meet this program's need.
