Expired

Description

This volunteer opportunity supports the nearly 4,200 food boxes needed each month for low-income seniors in Kentuckiana. Volunteers work on an assembly line to place food items into boxes through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program.

Volunteers will be on their feet standing, though accommodations can be made. There may be light lifting required if Dare to Care is unavailable to load completed boxes onto pallets.

Closed toe shoes are required. This is a perfect opportunity for teams and groups of up to 15 volunteers. The project is designed to create adequate space between volunteers. Masks are required, gloves will be provided.

The warehouse is located in the Big “A” Shopping Center off Cane Run Road and Algonquin Parkway. If you turn into the center at the Big “A” take the first right, go to the stop sign and take a left. You will need to go to the end of the parking lot towards the flags, turn right at the flags and come behind the building. We are located directly behind the Northwood Machinery business.
