Help us distribute food at the Partridge Point Mobile Pantry 2023

Expired

Description

Our Mobile Pantry program provides food to our neighbors in need every day. Food from the Dare to Care warehouse is taken out into our 13-county service area and distributed with the help of volunteers.

On the 2nd Thursday of each month, our Mobile Pantry will make a stop at Partridge Point. Our clients will be given tickets first-come, first-served and will be able to get the food from the Dare to Care distribution area once it is their turn.

Volunteers are needed to:

  • set-up tables to place food on (stations will be set up with at least 6 feet of distance between each)
  • help distribute food (clients will be appropriately distanced and one client will be served at a time in each station)
  • help consolidate large amounts of produce into smaller bags
  • add certain foods into boxes to make it easier for quick distribution to clients
  • break down boxes and collect plastic for recycling

This opportunity will last until we run out of food--no longer than 3 hours. Closed-toe shoes will be required for volunteers. Masks are currently optional for volunteers.

IF YOU OR ANYONE IN YOUR HOME FEELS ILL OR IS QUARANTINED FOR HEALTH REASONS, PLEASE STAY HOME.
