Our Mobile Pantry program provides food to our neighbors in need every day. Food from the Dare to Care warehouse is taken out into our 13-county service area and distributed with the help of volunteers.
On the 2nd Thursday of each month, our Mobile Pantry will make a stop at Partridge Point. Our clients will be given tickets first-come, first-served and will be able to get the food from the Dare to Care distribution area once it is their turn.
Volunteers are needed to:
- set-up tables to place food on (stations will be set up with at least 6 feet of distance between each)
- help distribute food (clients will be appropriately distanced and one client will be served at a time in each station)
- help consolidate large amounts of produce into smaller bags
- add certain foods into boxes to make it easier for quick distribution to clients
- break down boxes and collect plastic for recycling
This opportunity will last until we run out of food--no longer than 3 hours. Closed-toe shoes will be required for volunteers. Masks are currently optional for volunteers.
