Galentine's night at the Community Kitchen

Description

Welcome Volunteers!

Join us for a special evening volunteer opportunity at the Community Kitchen celebrating love, friendship, and community with the powerful women in your life!

Help us prepare meals for kids and for our Innovation Kitchen program. Dare to Care needs to produce meals each week to feed our neighbors in need. No need to be a chef or master in the kitchen - we'll teach you everything!

Volunteer duties may include:

  • Making sandwiches
  • Vegetable and fruit prep
  • Adding pre-portioned food into divider trays
  • Sealing freshly prepared food into trays on our tray line (we'll teach you how to use our Oliver Speedseal machines)
  • Preparing raw chicken
  • Other special kitchen duties

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The age minimum for this opportunity is 12.
  • Volunteers must wear hair restraints, such as a hat, hair net, hair bonnet, and/or beard net. Volunteers with long hair will also be asked to tie their hair back first.
