Our Mobile Pantry program provides food to our neighbors in need every day. Food from the Dare to Care warehouse is taken out into our 13-county service area and distributed with the help of volunteers.
On the 4th Monday of each month, our Mobile Pantry will make a stop at Fulton Terrace Apartments. Help is needed from 1 volunteer. Our clients walk up to tables that will hold food and take the allocated amount.
Volunteers are needed to:
- set-up tables to place food on
- help distribute food
- help consolidate large amounts of produce into smaller bags
- add certain foods into boxes to make it easier for quick distribution to clients
- break down boxes and collect plastic for recycling
This opportunity will last until we run out of food--plan for 2 hours--should last no longer than 3 hours. Closed-toe shoes are required for volunteers. Truck will park at Fulton Terrace Community Center building.
