Dare to Care was the recipient of 56,000 pounds of chicken from Tyson and we need your help! This donation will need to be prepped and cooked to help us feed families in need in our community. Join us for this special project. No need to be a chef or master in the kitchen--we'll teach you everything!
This volunteer opportunity and volunteer attendance are crucial to operations and feeding our clients. If you are unable to make a volunteer shift, please unregister in Galaxy Digital, or let Director of Volunteer Engagement know ASAP (ron@daretocare.org / 502-736-9963). One no-show without notification will result in removal from any future volunteer shifts.
REQUIREMENTS:
- closed toe shoes
- hat or other hair covering
- masks are required for volunteers
- Volunteers age 15 must be accompanied by an adult; 16 years old and older do not need an adult
We will provide gloves and require proper handwashing. There are lockers onsite, but you must bring your own lock. Note that this opportunity does involve standing for a large portion of the volunteer shift.
