Looking for an evening volunteer opportunity for you and your family?
Join us for our first Family Volunteer Night at the Senior Warehouse! September is Hunger Action Month, making this special evening a wonderful opportunity for families to come together and make a difference in our community.
During this project, volunteers will help us create food boxes for low-income seniors! This opportunity supports the nearly 4,600 food boxes needed each month for low-income seniors in Kentuckiana. Volunteers work on an assembly line to place food items into boxes through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program.
What to expect:
- Closed toe shoes are required.
- Volunteers will be on their feet standing, though accommodations can be made.
- Lifting up to 40 pounds will be required from a few volunteers to load completed boxes onto pallets.
- Ages 6+ welcome
- All volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, with a 3:1 child to adult ratio.
